 Aruna Surya Namaskara

Aruna is a Sanskrit word that refers to bright light or charioteer of Surya.  
The Aruna Surya Namaskar should be done in the early morning.

Procedure🤔

  • Stand in the Mountain pose facing the sun.
  • Arms relax to the side.
  • Take a deep and very slow breath. Concentrate on your breath and calm your mind. 
  • Repeat it 4-5 times.

Benefits of Aruna Surya Namaskar😮

  • It increases the oxygen supply in the blood.
  • It helps in reducing the level of carbon dioxide in the body.
  • Improves the concentration of the mind.

Vedic Surya Namaskar

Vedic Surya Namaskar is an improved version of Aruna Surya Namaskar.

Procedure

  • Stand in the Pose of Mountain our samastiasana
  • Facing towards Sun take a slow breath,  take palms outward to the face.
  • Exhale air, then slowly turn the palm backward in a normal position.
  • Repeat it 6-8 times.

  • Lowering the level of carbon dioxide.
  • It increases the oxygen level in the lungs
  • Improve the strength of arms.

Shiv-Surya Namaskar


Shiv suryanamaskar is one of the advanced asanas of Aruna Surya Namaskara.

Procedure😇

  • Stand in the third position Tadasana.
  • Relax your arms and body
  • Take a slow breath, stretch your hands outward direction make a circle bring them together, the one palm touches another palm.
  • Bend your back as possible while keeping an eye open.
  • Slowly exhale, come in normal positions. Repeat it.

 Benefits of doing Shiv-Surya Namaskar


  • It overall increases your upper body strength.
  • Improve the blood circulation to the spinal areas.

Kasatrian Kriya Suryanamaskar

This asana is a more advanced version of Vedic suryanamaskar.

Procedure

  • Stand in a mountain pose.
  • Stretch your shoulder and legs parallel to the ground.
  •  Repeat it 6-8 times and gradually increase day by day.

Rishikesh Surya Namaskar

Rishikesh is derived from the Sanskrit word 😮 Rishikesh means 'Lord Vishnu' or 'one who controls the senses.

Procedure

  • Stand back should be straight and erect
  • Take a slow breath.
  • Stand in namaskar Mudra by joining palm together and repeat it.

Surya Prana Mudra

Surya Prana mudra is also derived from the Sanskrit word Surya means 'sun', Prana means 'air' and mudra means ' Gesture'.

Procedure

  • Sit in Vajrasana facing towards the sun.
  • Perform Namaskar mudra by folding palms together.
  • Keep the fingers straight.
  • Inhale completely and concentrate on the breath. Hold a breath for a second.
  • Exhale slowly repeated 6 times, if your beginner and increased gradually.

  • Helps in increasing the concentration of the mind
  • Reduces stress.
